Course Description:
This qualification is suitable for any supervisor in any business. The course aims to provide an understanding of the main concepts of Health & Safety and to promote the benefits of a Health & Safety ‘culture’. It will provide an understanding of health and safety control and improvement strategies available to supervisors and clarify their roles and responsibilities.

Entry Requirements:
A basic knowledge and understanding of health and safety practices is desired.

• Accidents in the Workplace
• Ill Health in the Workplace
• Legal provision (UK)
• Health & Safety organisation and management
• Supervisory health and safety

Duration and Format:
Minimum of 18 hours tuition
Teaching methods consist of discussions, groupwork, video observations and tutor input.

Assessment:
1 x 2 hour multiple-choice examination paper
